The Truth Is...

Always On

Caregiving is 24/7 and invisible.

Hard to Navigate

Systems are confusing and hard to navigate.

Left to Figure It Out

Caregivers are expected to know everything.

Your Needs Matter

You deserve support too. That's not negotiable here.

About The Foundation

A Caregiver Support Nonprofit Built From Lived Experience

Created by caregivers who had to build what didn’t exist.

As a caregiver support nonprofit shaped by lived experience, Yelloux Cove Foundation understands that caregiving does not wait until someone feels ready. Our founder began caring for a family member as a young adult, and that reality continues to guide how we develop support, education, and resources.

Yelloux Cove Foundation is a Black-owned, Black-led registered nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting family caregivers of people with mental and developmental disabilities – especially those navigating care without conservatorship.

We are a lived-experience-driven organization. Our founder began caregiving as a teenager before the word “caregiver” ever applied to her world. That experience shapes everything we build – because we know caregiving doesn’t wait until you’re ready, and support shouldn’t either.

Caregivers come to us at every age and every stage of life. Teenagers. College students. Siblings. Single parents. Lifelong partners. Low-income families. We serve all of them – and our programs meet people exactly where they are.

Our Mission

Family Caregiver Support at Every Age and Stage

Compassion shouldn’t cost your life.

Yelloux Cove Foundation empowers family caregivers with the knowledge, tools, and support needed to navigate complex healthcare, disability, and crisis systems. We provide rights-based guidance, plain-language education, practical resources, and system-navigation support so caregivers can advocate safely, confidently, and with their dignity fully intact.

We move at the caregiver’s pace and trust what families know about their own lives. Instead of requiring people to justify every need, the Foundation provides clear guidance, practical tools, and support without judgment.

Our work centers the caregivers who carry the full weight of care – coordinating medical systems, managing crisis, absorbing legal barriers, and showing up every single day for someone they love – while their own lives, goals, and wellbeing demand equal attention.

You deserve support too. That’s not negotiable here.

Who We Serve

Care does not always come with authority

This caregiver support nonprofit is building practical help around what families actually face—not around what institutions assume they need.

Yelloux Cove Foundation stands with family caregivers supporting people living with mental or developmental disabilities – with particular focus on those navigating care without conservatorship.

We serve caregivers of all ethnicities, all income levels, and all ages. Our programs recognize that a 17-year-old sibling caregiver and a 55-year-old parent caregiver carry different needs – and both deserve support tailored to where they actually are.

Most caregiving organizations were designed for someone else. Yelloux Cove was designed for you.

Our Vision

Navigating Care Without Conservatorship

We envision a world where family caregivers are recognized as essential partners in care—fully supported, informed of their rights, and respected by every system they encounter.

Teenagers who step into caregiving roles should have tools designed for their stage of life. Meanwhile, college students caring for siblings should not have to sacrifice their futures. Single parents, low-income families, and lifelong caregivers should also find practical resources waiting for them.

Ultimately, dignity, clarity, and justice should be standard—not something families have to fight to receive.

Care should not cost a family its peace, stability, or future.

Where college students caring for siblings don’t lose their futures in the process. Where single parents, low-income families, and lifelong caregivers all find real resources waiting for them.

A world where dignity, clarity, and justice are standard – and where no family faces medical confusion, crisis, or systemic failure alone.

That is the world Yelloux Cove Foundation is build
